Ms. Maureen Mithamo

Maureen is currently the Head of Legal at the Java Group. With 10 years in the legal field, she has experience in working in law firms and corporates.
She has worked with Java House Group and is in charge of providing legal advice to the board & company secretarial services. She oversees legal matters not limited to property and conveyancing, employment matters, general corporate and commercial affairs.

Maureen holds experience in mergers and acquisitions, worked with various global private equity/ capital partners, franchising, and joint ventures and successfully led the establishment of businesses in Eastern Africa, West Africa, here Nigeria. She also has expertise in Intellectual Property, protecting the trademarks of brands in Africa, Europe, MENA (Middle East & Asia, particularly China).

Maureen holds a Bachelors of Laws from Nairobi University and is an advocate of the High Court. Has undertaken coaching from career connections and is currently coaching teams. Maureen is currently undertaking executive management & strategic leadership at Strathmore Business School, which also has programs for leading in times of crisis.

Maureen is passionate about women matters, growing talent and teams and how the law can social engineer and bridge the gap for social economic for various groups.

Maureen likes to collect Art, read &  attending book clubs, travelling and experiencing new cultures and people and doing new things, at times she even goes scuba diving. And spending time with friends and family.
